Shawn Kilgore comes from the small town of Brunswick, Ohio, just outside of Cleveland. Now based out of Orlando, he is approaching his 20th year as a working professional in the entertainment business.

And he received the Best Actor in a Musical title from the Miami Sun, who said of his performance as Edward Lyons in "Blood Brothers" : "...a finely-nuanced, subtly thought out and felt portrayal...an intelligent actor".

He portrayed Billy Bigelow in "Carousel" with The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and The Orlando Ballet, which began his work work as a featured Pops Series vocalist with the Orchestra.

An original and long time cast member of the South Florida comedy troupe Laffing Matterz, which musically spoofed current events, Shawn would later appear on stages across Universal Orlando Resort, taking on roles such as Jake Blues, Frankenstein, and narrating the Grinchmas Wholiday Spectacular. He can also be heard as Sister Amnesia on the National Cast Album of "Nunsense A-Men!".
